Jakes Jacobs
Jakes has an NHD in Extraction Metallurgy and a BTech degree in Marketing. He has been responsible for project managing a variety of projects across a broad spectrum of industrial applications over the past 12 years. Jakes has been involved specifically in water treatment solutions for nine years, ranging from traditional water treatment processes, to complex systems integrating various technologies. His experience includes dealing with water issues in the medical sector, where health and safety factors are critical. For some time he was in charge of marketing for a leading industrial filtration company, taking responsibility for strategic positioning and exponential growth at that time. He has completed the RAU Project Management Course and various Siemens PLC programming courses.

Kevin Smit
Kevin has a diploma in Mechanical Engineering and has completed the RAU Project Management course. He has been involved in reverse osmosis (RO) system designs for the last four years, during which time he designed, built and commissioned RO plants for the pharmaceutical and food and beverage industries. Kevin has extensive experience in plant validation procedures and RO operational conditions. Client companies include L�Oreal, Colgate, ABI, Bromor Foods and PP Stork in Serbia. Kevin was also responsible for the handover of these plants and for operator training. He has extensive experience for SHE issues while on customer sites and managed the ISO 9001:2000 accreditation exercise for manufacturing processes in regard to RO and micro filtration systems.

Ravi Govender
Ravi has an MTech degree in Chemical Engineering and has been involved with water treatment systems for the last six years, taking responsibility for the design, manufacturing, validation and final handover of pharmaceutical water systems at companies which include Wella and AICC, as well as additional applications such as soft drinks and mining. At Nanotech, Ravi is the technical product manager for pre-manufactured micro and ultra filtration systems, with responsibility for the technical and mechanical performances of these plants. Ravi is also in charge of procuring project requirements and project expediting. He attended the RAU Project Management course and has research and development experience with the Water Technology Group in Durban.
